We’ll work together to find your path

Coaching is a deeply personal journey, one that’s all about you—your aspirations, your challenges, and your growth.

My role as your coach is to walk alongside you, offering support and insights through informal yet impactful conversations.

Together, we’ll find the right path to helping you achieve your goals and overcome your hurdles.

  • The First Step: Let’s Connect

Our work together begins with a simple conversation—a no-obligation exploration session.

Think of it as a relaxed chat at a cafe, online or at our confidential offices in central Wellington. This is your opportunity to share what you hope to achieve and to see if we’re a good fit.

I will encourage you to explore your options. Meet with a few coaches before you decide. The right connection is key to a successful coaching relationship.

  • Building a Foundation: The Coaching Agreement

Should you choose to work with me, we’ll lay a strong foundation by reviewing our Coaching Agreement.

This document outlines everything from our roles and commitments to how we’ll handle any challenges that arise during our time together. It’s about clarity and mutual understanding—so we both know what to expect.

  • Preparing for Success: Setting Your Objectives

Great coaching begins with clear goals. Before our first session, I encourage you to spend some time reflecting on what you’d like to achieve.

To help with this, I’ve created a simple template that you can use to outline your objectives for us to discuss.

The Coaching Journey

Our coaching relationship will last for a minimum of six months—a period that allows for meaningful progress while accommodating life’s natural rhythms, like holidays. Early on, we’ll meet more frequently, every 2 weeks, to build momentum. As you gain clarity and momentum, our sessions will spread out to every 3-4 weeks.

Together, we’ll schedule sessions up to two sessions ahead, with each session lasting an hour. Friday mornings are my preferred times to help you reflect and reset.

My preferred approach is to work online via Zoom or Teams. This setting is one that encourages openness and focus. I avoid meeting in cafés or workplaces to ensure our conversations remain confidential and undistracted.

Reflect, Plan and Grow

Coaching is as much about reflection as it is about conversation. After each session, I ask that you take some time to journal your thoughts emerging from the session. This practice not only helps extract your insights but also to confirm the right actions you plan to take. Sharing these reflections with me allows us to make the most of our next session.

  • Expanding Horizons: Beyond Conversations

While our primary focus will be on exploring your thoughts and plans through dialogue, I may occasionally suggest additional resources—readings, concepts, or websites—that might open up or channel your thinking.

I can also offer a range of tools to help you build specific skills or gain new insights, including behavioral profiling, leadership assessments, and even video feedback techniques.

  • Confidentiality and Collaboration

Your privacy is paramount. Everything we discuss remains strictly confidential.

If your coaching is sponsored by a manager who wishes to be involved, we can arrange for three-way meetings at the start and end of our engagement. Our ground rules clearly require that any communication with your manager will directly include you.

  • Investing in Your Growth

I prefer to invoice for the entire relationship at the end of the second month or fourth session, However if you prefer to split the invoice over time we can discuss what works best for you.

As we near the end of our six months together, we’ll review your progress together. We can discuss whether to continue for another period and what the cost would be.

Let’s start the conversation

Every coaching relationship begins with a simple conversation. Let’s chat about where you are, where you’d like to go, and how we can get there together.
